The short version
- Each plan is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel. There is no free trial.
- Payments are non-refundable once the month’s service has been provided substantially as described.
- You can cancel at any time by emailing or calling us. Cancelling stops future renewals.
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact us first. Filing a card dispute without contacting us can suspend your service.
- Nothing here removes a refund right that applicable law gives you and does not let us take away.
1. What this policy covers
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to the monthly bookkeeping and payroll subscriptions offered by QNOW Consulting Inc. (“QNOW,” “we,” “us”) and purchased through our Stripe checkout from the pricing page. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Engagement and our Privacy Protocol.
If you have signed an engagement letter with QNOW that addresses fees, refunds, or termination, that engagement letter controls for that engagement to the extent it conflicts with this policy.
2. What you are buying, and how billing works
Each plan is a recurring monthly subscription. The following terms are configured in our payment processor and are what you are agreeing to at checkout:
- Tier 1 — Essentials: $250.00 USD per month.
- Tier 2 — Growth: $400.00 USD per month.
- Tier 3 — Command: $600.00 USD per month.
- Billing cycle. You are charged at checkout and then once every month on the same billing date.
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month and continues until it is cancelled. We do not need to contact you for the renewal to occur.
- No free trial. The first payment is taken at checkout. There is no trial period and no introductory period.
- Card statement. Charges appear on your statement as QNOW CONSULTING.
- Taxes. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are exclusive of any tax that may apply to your purchase.
- Scope. The plan price is a monthly starting point. The final scope of your engagement is confirmed with you during onboarding, and work outside that agreed scope may be quoted separately.
3. Refunds
All sales are final and payments are non-refundable once the applicable product or service has been provided substantially as described at the time of purchase, except where otherwise expressly stated by QNOW in writing or where a refund is required by applicable law.
This reflects how professional services work: our costs are incurred as the work is performed, and a month of bookkeeping or payroll support cannot be returned once it has been delivered.
3.1 What “provided substantially as described” means
For a monthly subscription, a billing month has been provided substantially as described once QNOW has, during that month, performed or stood ready to perform the services within the scope confirmed during your onboarding. Because the service is an ongoing advisory and recordkeeping relationship rather than a single deliverable, availability and the performance of scoped work during the month constitute performance for that month, whether or not you used every element of the plan.
3.2 Where we will consider a refund
We will review a refund request in good faith where you contact us promptly and any of the following applies:
- A duplicate charge, or a charge in an amount other than the plan price you selected.
- A charge that continued after you cancelled in accordance with Section 4.
- A billing month in which QNOW did not perform and did not stand ready to perform the scoped services.
- Any circumstance in which a refund is required by applicable law.
Where we agree a refund, it is issued to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer controls how long it takes to appear on your statement.
3.3 Dissatisfaction with an outcome is not a refund event
QNOW does not guarantee any particular financial, tax, lending, or regulatory outcome, and no result is promised or implied by the purchase of a plan. A tax, audit, loan, or agency outcome you did not want is not, by itself, grounds for a refund of fees for services that were performed.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel, contact us by email at info@qnowconsulting.com with “Cancel subscription” in the subject line, or by telephone at (646) 904-5895. Please cancel using the same business name and email address you used at checkout so we can identify your subscription.
Cancelling stops future monthly renewals. Cancellation does not retroactively refund a billing month that has already been paid and provided, except as set out in Section 3.2 or as required by law.
CONFIRMATION REQUIRED — cancellation timing. The cancellation deadline before a renewal date, whether service continues to the end of a paid month or ends immediately, and whether any partial month is prorated have not been set by the firm and are deliberately not stated here. These must be confirmed by the business owner before this section is complete.
5. Suspension and termination by QNOW
We may suspend or terminate a subscription, and may decline to begin or continue work, where any of the following occurs:
- A payment fails, is reversed, is charged back, or is otherwise not received.
- You do not provide the records, access, or information we reasonably need to perform the work.
- Continuing would require us to act contrary to law or to applicable professional obligations.
- You breach the Terms of Engagement or use our services in a manner prohibited by them.
Where we terminate for a reason other than the above, we will not charge you for a future billing month that has not begun.
6. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first. Most billing questions are resolved faster directly than through a card dispute, and contacting us does not affect any right you have to dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute in respect of services that have been provided is a basis for us to suspend or terminate the subscription under Section 5, and to decline further engagements. You remain responsible for amounts properly owed for services already performed, and we may recover those amounts and reasonable costs of collection to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable law or under your card network’s rules.
7. Price changes
We may change plan pricing. A change to the price of an existing subscription takes effect only after we give you advance notice by email at the address used at checkout, and it applies to billing periods beginning after that notice. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you may cancel under Section 4 before that billing period begins.
8. Your rights under applicable law
Nothing in this policy waives, limits, or excludes any right or remedy that applicable consumer-protection law gives you and does not permit to be waived. Where a mandatory legal right conflicts with this policy, that legal right applies. This policy does not limit your right to cancel an automatically renewing subscription where law requires a specific cancellation method or notice.
